Siemens Equips the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart with Wireless LAN
, Sep 04, 2007
As an official sponsor, Siemens Enterprise Communications is equipping the EnBW World Artistic Gymnastics Championships currently taking place in Stuttgart until 9 September with wireless Internet (WLAN). The HiPath WLAN Controller installed in the hall and the 18 access points that go along with it will provide wireless WLAN coverage in Stuttgart’s Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Hall, which holds up to 15,000 people.
“We're simply delighted that Siemens has provided us with this WLAN solution free of charge. We can now offer the organizers, visitors and members of the press at the World Championships a secure and reliable wireless Internet connection, which will allow news of our sporting triumphs to flash around the world in seconds”, says Dr. Markus Schwarzer, press officer of the EnBW World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Siemens’ HiPath WLAN is easy to install and enables a very fast setup of all connected elements. Services such as Internet access for suppliers or customers and Voice-over WLAN can also be easily integrated. HiPath WLAN supports the highest security standards, guarantees fast roaming, reliability and optimum radio frequency coverage.
