To provide remote offices and branches with always-on communications, we have developed a range of software-based branch solutions. They are suitable for both service providers and cost-conscious enterprises with multiple branch offices.
OpenScape Branch runs on commercially available servers and provides SIP trunking directly from the branch. This eliminates the need to transport PSTN voice traffic back to the data center and provides network redundancy. It also includes a built-in Media Server, which dramatically reduces the bandwidth requirements to the branch and provides local tones, announcements and conferencing facilities.
We have developed OpenScape Branch systems that suit up to 50, 250, 1,000 or 6,000 users - they can also be clustered for scalability and local redundancy. We offer two main configurations: either in-network (for use in your own trusted IP network) or out-of-network (for use over an open IP connection, such as for service providers).
