Humberto Cagno

General Manager of Latin America
Humberto Cagno has more than 32 years senior executive experience managing business operations, including strategy, product management and development, sales, marketing and government relations in telecommunications and high tech companies. He holds a MBA from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas Business School and a BSc in Electrical Engineering with concentration in Electronics and Telecommunications.
Cagno was recently appointed as General Manager for Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEN) and Enterasys in Latin America and is also General Manager of SEN Brazil. He plays a very important role at SEN, with responsibility for all aspects of the business in the Region.
Cagno built his career at Siemens PN division (today SEN), starting as an intern in 1974. He was later promoted to General Sales Manager in 1991 in Brazil, until he left the company to pursue other opportunities. He then continued his career in roles within prestigious companies such as: General Manager at Raychem Produtos Irradiados Ltd, Vice President for Sales and Services at DSC Communications Group and Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Business Unit Director at Motorola.
In 2001, Cagno returned to Siemens as the Mobile Business “Siemens Mobile” Unit Director at the Information and Communication Division Group, responsible for all activities concerning the implementation of Network Infrastructure and Mobile Phones for Mercosul
(Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia). In 2005, he was transferred to the communications division of Siemens AG as the coordinator for a worldwide go-to-market project. At the end of 2006, with the restructuring of the Communications Group, he was
transferred to Siemens Enterprise and was made responsible for operations in Latin America.
Cagno plays an active role at the American Chamber of Commerce Brazil, at which he was the President for the Telecommunications and IT Committee until February 2006; today he continues to support the Committee.
