Siemens Enterprise Communications’s Digital Channel Wins IT BUSINESS’ 2009 Channel Marketing Award

IT Business, one of Germany’s leading reseller publications, conducted its first annual Channel Marketing competition last year and awarded Siemens Enterprise Communications with its Channel Marketing Award 2009 for its Digital Channel Marketing tool.

This is the second time in less than two months that Siemens Enterprise Communications’s GoForward Partner Program has been recognized for its innovative and successful sales enablement tool called “Digital Channel”. Digital Channel enables partners to customize our customer-facing materials and promote our products through ready-to-use marketing programs that help them generate revenue and increase the awareness of our award-winning Open Communications solutions.

Siemens Enterprise Communications competed with a number of leading companies such as Actebis Peacock GmbH, Hewlett-Packard GmbH, Kaspersky Labs GmbH, D-Link, Symantec, ZyXEL, Infinigate AG, Xerox GmbH, and DataCore Software Corporation for this honor and came out on top in the “Sell Through/Sell With Partners” category!  Hewlett-Packard took the honor in the “Sell to Partners” category.

“We launched the Digital Channel globally in March 2009 with 25 partners. Today, we have over 275 partners participating in the program,” commented Adrian Honey, director of Global Indirect Channel Marketing.  “At a time when our competitors were cutting back on channel marketing initiatives, we made the decision to increase our investment in our indirect business. Industry recognition of our Digital Channel program combined with the very positive feedback we’ve received from our partners is a strong endorsement of our GoForward Program, validation of our commitment to our indirect channel and a solid return on our investment.”

The awards were bestowed on November 26th during a reception hosted by IT Business, called “Night of IT-Business”.
