HiPath DX
We will continue to develop and support HiPath DX to help you preserve your investment in our long-standing platform
One of our longest-standing telephony platforms, HiPath DX has been in service for in excess of 30 years and is still in use at many UK organizations, particularly in the public sector. Our ongoing support for the platform means you can preserve your investment in equipment, enjoy new functionality and migrate to our OpenScape platform at your own pace when required.
While we will continue to develop the HiPath DX platform and support existing customers, availability of older parts means that new hardware sales will be phased out using the following timetable.
- End of sale for HiPath DX: April 30th 2011
- End of sale for HiPath DXR: April 30th 2012
- End of sale for Expansion Hardware: April 30th 2013
Continued software development
Although we are ceasing developing the hardware, we have an active software development program to bring the platform right up to date:
- Version 9.4 (January 2010): includes OpenScape Voice support;
- Version 10.0 (October 2010): includes added security and mobile support;
- Version 10.1 (June/July 2011): will include SIP support and IP functionality.
If using version 8 or lower of HiPath DX, you will need to upgrade your software and add an IP line card to take advantage of these developments.
Assure+
We will carry out the continued development and support of HiPath DX through our Assure+ program. It offers access to our consolidated knowledge about the platform from across the organization and spare parts for the foreseeable future.
Migration plans
In addition to refining the functionality of HiPath DX, we also offer a clear migration path to our current unified communications solutions OpenScape through our OpenPath program. We offer flexible licensing through our OpenPath FlexLicensing program to help you migrate to OpenScape in your own time.

Further information
