OpenScape UC Server 2010

OpenScape UC Server 2010 is a revolution in communication design. Acquisition & Licensing: Siemens Enterprise Communications offers a comprehensive range of acquisition and licensing options, including new and updated comprehensive UC solutions packages, new “pay-as-you-go” subscription licensing, and new software assurance and software support offers.

OpenScape Convergence Driver: Siemens Enterprise Communications introduces the latest innovation in its OpenPath migration strategy with the OpenScape Convergence Driver. The OpenScape Convergence Driver expands and deepens interoperability between HiPath 4000 and OpenScape Voice for hybrid and/or migration scenarios.  Siemens Enterprise Communications also introduces OpenPath FlexLicensing for 100% full license portability from HiPath 4000 to OpenScape Voice.

Packaged Integrations: Siemens Enterprise Communications introduces the OpenScape Fusion line for integration-related plug-ins, packaged integration solutions, and integration-related programs.  Specifically for OpenScape UC Server 2010, Siemens Enterprise Communications introduces the OpenScape Fusion Social Media integration for Twitter.

In accordance with Siemens Enterprise Communications’ Open Communications approach, OpenScape UC Server has been built from the ground up as an open, SIP-based, software IT communications and UC application foundation with shared web-services components that leverage Siemens Enterprise Communications’ OpenSOA architecture.

Using OpenScape Voice and HiPath OpenExchange already? These applications have been redesigned to run natively on the OpenScape UC Server for enterprise voice and IP least cost routing.  All of the OpenScape UC suite of applications slot easily into whatever systems you use currently. They operate in multi-vendor environments and integrate with existing solutions including IBM Sametime and Microsoft Office Communication Server.

The OpenScape UC Server is appropriate for any organization with 1000 users or more and is available in three versions.  The Medium Edition (ME) configuration is a single server solution with optional redundancy for up to 1,000 users. The Large Edition (LE) is a multi-server configuration for up to 100,000 users. Up to 20,000 of those receive full UC functionality and up to 100,000 basic UC functionality.  The Hosted Edition (HE) contains additional application components to support the unique requirements of service providers and hosting organisations.
