Subscription Licensing

OpenScape UC Suite Hosted Edition is now available with Subscription Licensing as an alternative to conventional systems procurement

Traditionally communications software was offered on a ‘perpetual license’ basis.  Selling in this way sometimes resulted in a higher initial capital cost, plus future incremental capital costs to purchase software upgrades, especially where a large inventory of initial user licenses was required.

We offer an alternative with Hosted Edition’s Software Products, which are available on a subscription license. That means you only pay a monthly license fee for each user you actually have connected to the system.

Benefits of subscription licensing

With subscription licensing there’s no need to make a large up-front capital-investment in software licenses, because you only pay for users you have in service.  That simple pay-as-you-go proposition can dramatically improve your cash-flow. The software subscription license includes:

• User licenses
• Software assurance (i.e. most upgrades are included in the monthly price)
• Software support (bug fixes, etc.)

There are several different subscription licenses available, including voice users, mailboxes, UC Users and contact center agents.  These licenses refer specifically to the functions the applications provide and correlate with the communications services you sell to your end-users.  This means that you can bundle these services with your own services and sell them to your end-users according to their business needs.
